The Energy Advice Team from South Dartmoor Community Energy will be out and about in the Ivybridge area during November offering free and impartial advice on energy issues to local residents.
The team will be offering advice and support to help people to;
• Check they are on the best energy deal
• Switch supplier
• Find out about the smart meter roll out
• Apply for discounts and extra support from the fuel companies
• Check their eligibility for energy saving schemes
Take your fuel bills to one of these energy advice drop in sessions
Saturday 5th 10am-12pm Ermington Sustainable Saturdays,
Monday 7th 10am-12.30pm Ivybridge Library, Erme Court, PL21 0SZ
Tuesday 15th 10am-2.30pm Tesco Extra, Lee Mill, PL21 9PE
Monday 21st 10am-3pm Ivybridge Library, Erme Court, PL21 0SZ
Residents who have not switched energy supplier in the last five years could potentially save £200-£300 a year by shopping around, so it could well be worthwhile popping along to one of the team’s energy advice drop-in sessions near you (see above).
Those who cannot make it to one of the sessions can call the energy advisors on 0800 112 3044.
The Energy Advice Team can also provide talks on energy issues to community groups and clubs and can even offer energy efficiency bingo! Contact the team for further information.
