Ivybridge school’s Operation Christmas Child

An incredible 115 shoeboxes were collected for Operation Christmas Child by Stowford School in Ivybridge, Devon.

The amazing total beat last year’s fantastic record of 100 and, as a result, 115 children around the world, whose lives have been shattered by war, disaster or disease, will know when they open their gift that there is always someone who cares and they will never be forgotten.

Year 5 teacher, Mr Jackson, who organised the collection, described it as “a fantastic achievement by the children who stepped up to the task, determined to make a difference to children less fortunate than themselves”.
